He is joined by his two sons, Proinsias and Breandán Hernon, both gifted musicians in their own rights along with both being Oireachtas sean-nós dancing champions on respective years.
Don Stiffe is one of the greatest singer/songwriters on the Irish folk scene, having received critical acclaim both at home and abroad. The band originally comprised of Marcus Hernon, PJ Hernon, and Don Stiffe, but in more recent years the members comprised of Marcus Hernon, Don Stiffe, Proinsias Hernon, and Breandán Hernon.
