Situating Practice in Cultural Landscapes with Steve Larkin

Steve Larkin is a practising architect, educator, and fiddle player. He studied architecture at UCD, became a member of the RIAI in 2005, and established Steve Larkin Architects in 2007. He received his PhD at RMIT in 2016 for his research on Interiorities in Oral Cultural Landscapes. Currently, he lectures in architecture at TU Dublin and leads postgraduate research in architecture and landscape. His practice has received multiple awards and commendations and has exhibited and published work worldwide.
Steve Larkin Architects works sensitively and creatively within cultural landscapes, appreciating the specificity and peculiarities of each place. The practice is engaged in interpreting these places, striving to develop work that stems from the interior of its culture or presents an informed otherness through participation.
