In a 55-year career in print journalism and broadcasting, Jim Carney worked for the Tuam Herald, Irish Independent, Eventing Herald, Connacht Tribune and RTÉ Sport. In 1979, he became the first presenter of the RTÉ TV flagship sports Programme The Sunday Game.
All proceeds from this event will go to Tuam Cancer Care West.
The longest-running community arts festival in Ireland, Clifden Community Arts Festival, now heading into its 46th year will take place from September 14-24, and yet again promises to have something to excite everyone in the 2023 programme.
