Rosemount Singers: East Meets West

From Co Meath, the Rosemount Singers is a mixed choir managed by KenDu Music. With a grá for early music from the Renaissance & Baroque eras they are not afraid to mix it up with Contemporary repertoire. Choral director Mr Shane Barriscale who is also the co-director of the Palestrina Choir in Dublin puts the group through it’s paces in four part harmony and the line up for this concert includes music from Mozart, Thomas Tallis, Coleman, Cole Porter, Jean Sibelius, John Rutter & Sean O’Riada to name but a few.

The choir is very fortunate to have the wonderful concert pianist Dr.Didzis Kalniņš who will be fresh from his second concert of the year at the National Concert Hall in Dublin to accompany them. In addition guest Soprano Eimear Kenny from London will join the choir as will Mr Aodan McGlynn of the Cantairí Chonamara.

There will be a few solo treats in store to delight the audience. This is a fundraiser concert in aid of Christ Church.
