September 22, 2024 | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
€10
Mick Hanly has had a remarkable career in Irish music with many high points – from his 1974 recording “Celtic Folkweave” with Micheál Ó Domhnaill through to the present day. He has made many albums solo and with others, and his songwriting is celebrated e.g. the internationally known “Past the Point of Rescue”
He has sung and played with Moving Hearts, Andy Irvine, Dolores Keane and more and a notable recording was “Still Not Cured” with his own band Rusty Old Halo in the mid- 1980s. His fascinating autobiography “Wish Me Well: Notes on My Sleeve” was published in 2005. He will t alk with Peter Browne – musician and former RTÉ radio presenter and producer – on all this, as much as can be covered in an hour, and it should be an entertaining and enjoyable conversation.”
