Into the Deep with Ken O’Sullivan

Renowned underwater cameraman and filmmaker Ken O’Sullivan will perform his unique live show, INTO THE DEEP, sharing his incredible adventures exploring the North Atlantic Ocean. The multi-awardwinning Clare native will discuss his experiences encountering enormous whales and monstrous sharks while exploring the stunning underwater world.
Passionate about ocean conservation, Ken will show videos and provide insights into the challenges of navigating the North Atlantic to film some of the largest animals ever to have lived, including blue and fin whales. He will recount his unforgettable 2016 dive, where he became the first cameraman to document over thirty basking sharks engaged in a courtship ritual off the Clare coast.
The show blends film and stories from Ken’s 18-year career, paying homage to his family’s 250-year maritime history on Fenit Island, Co. Kerry. Ken has produced, directed, and filmed natural history documentaries for RTÉ and TG4, and worked with BBC NHU, CBC Canada, and ITV. His conservation efforts focus on sharks, skates, and rays, particularly in Tralee Bay, Co. Kerry.
