Indigestion

This play has been described as sensitive, hilarious, intelligent, compelling, and refreshingly forthright. It tells the story of a man, whose name we never learn, whose life is always just a little out of control.

From his rural upbringing to being sent to London at 17, he struggles with depression, obesity, and anger, experiences love found and lost, and returns to Ireland only to face more misfortune. Yet through it all, there is hope.

A powerful tale of laughter and tears, spanning fifty years of a life not unlike our own, this is Séamus O’Rourke at his best—masterful storytelling.
