Greenshine

Greenshine is a Cork-based trio nominated for the RTÉ Folk Awards, consisting of Mary Greene, Noel Shine, and their daughter Ellie. Their music blends Folk, Indie, and Americana, featuring outstanding harmonies, skilful stringwork, and critically acclaimed songwriting. RTÉ’s John Creedon praised the band, saying, “They have produced one great track after the next over the last few years.” Their latest album, New Moon on Friday, was named “Album of the Week” by several radio stations, including BBC Scotland and BBC Ulster, with six singles making it to the RTÉ Radio 1 Recommends List. The band’s beautiful track “The Girl in the Lavender Dress” became the second most played Irish track on RTÉ Radio 1 in its release year, significantly boosting their popularity. Noel and Mary have also contributed their talents to recordings by artists such as Christy Moore, The Republic of Loose, and John Spillane. Additionally, Ellie’s voice can be heard on TG4’s cartoon show Gus, An Ridire Beag Bídeach.
