Frances Fitzgerald in Conversation with Judy Murphy

Frances Fitzgerald is an international leader on equality who is proud to serve as the first ambassador for Ruhama. She is currently serving a two-year term on the Gender Equality Advisory Council to the G7 and, earlier this year, was appointed Senior Advisor to Teneo. A parliamentarian for over 20 years, Frances served as Tánaiste of Ireland from 2016–17, one of only four women ever to hold this position. She has held several senior ministerial roles, including Minister for Business, Enterprise & Innovation (2017), Minister for Justice & Equality (2014–17), where she championed the Marriage Equality Referendum and the Sexual Offences Act 2017, and was Ireland’s first Minister for Children & Youth Affairs (2011–14), leading on the Children’s Referendum in 2012.
