Festival Bus Tours Following the success of last year’s festival bus tours, Clifden Arts Festival is delighted to offer a range of expanded art adventures for 2025. Local historian and radio presenter Breandan O Scanaill will host this year’s tours, providing a wealth of special knowledge on history, politics and art. All excursions are limited to ten people per tour as we have generously been granted privileged access to the private art collections of Ballynahinch Castle and Renvyle House Hotel.

Route 2 takes us to Ballynahinch Castle, which holds an extremely impressive collection of old and rare art pieces, ranging from works by artists such as Jack B Yeats, Sean Keating, Dorothy Cross and Mick O’Dea. The bus tours will also incorporate a combination of the fascinating Interface (see page) to visit their Clifden Arts Festival exhibition set in a repurposed salmon fishery in the Inagh Valley; Atlantic Technological University Letterfrack for a tour of the furniture design college; and Joyce’s Craft shop to visit their collection and ceramic exhibition. All tour buses depart at 10:45am and return at 2:15pm to the bus stop on Market Street.
