Festival Bus Tours Route 1

Following the success of last year’s festival bus tours, Clifden Arts Festival is delighted to offer a range of expanded art adventures for 2025. Local historian and radio presenter Breandan O Scanaill will host this year’s tours, providing a wealth of special knowledge on history, politics and art. All excursions are limited to ten people per tour as we have generously been granted privileged access to the private art collections of Ballynahinch Castle and Renvyle House Hotel.

Route 1 will take us to Renvyle House Hotel, which has amassed a fabulous collection of early modernist artists such as Gerard Dillon, Lily Yeats, Sean O’Sullivan and Evie Hone. The hotel is also very proud of its links to the commissioning of the Harry Clarke windows in Christ the King Church by Oliver St. John Gogarty and his wife Martha, which we will also visit in Tully.
